Owenton First Baptist Church
What a glorious day at First Baptist this past Sunday.
Our pastor brought a message in the 9 a.m. service entitled, “Road to Calvary: The Punishment” from Mark 15:33-47. Our choir presented, “This is God,” Easter cantata during the 11 a.m. service and then concluded the day with an observance of the Lord’s Supper during the evening service.
Our children had a great time with the Easter eggstravaganza on Saturday, and our student ministry had a great outing at Winter Jam.
Our Easter service schedule on March 31 will include a coffee and donut fellowship at 10:30 a.m. and a combined Easter worship service at 10:30 a.m., with our pastor bringing the message from Mark 16:1-15 entitled, “The Road to Calvary: His Resurrection.”
Our Main Street Youth are meeting each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. The Rooted Kids ministry meets each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Our children’s church ministry is offered during the 11 a.m. worship service.
The family life center is open on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., and on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Our weekly service times are Sunday at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 6:30 p.m. The Sunday school gatherings start at 10 a.m. Our Wednesday service begins at 6:30 p.m.
