  • Found money will repair some Owen County roads

Several Owen County roads will get a fresh coat of asphalt thanks to a $200,000 state payment the county should have received in 2011.
Owen County Judge-executive Carolyn Keith said the state agreed to give the county $200,000 for road repairs in 2011. The fiscal court used funds from the county coffers to repair roads but the state money wasn’t added to the ledgers.
With the problem corrected, the county will use the funds to repair sections of Harris Ridge Road, Park Ridge Road and Point of Rock Road.
