  • Dorothy Clifton Cook

    Dorothy Clifton Cook, 65, of Lockport, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at her residence.
    Survivors inlcude her children, Shayne (Trish) Cook of Squiresville and Angie Renfro of Lockport.
    A graveside service was held Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at the New Columbus Cemetery.
    McDonald & New Funeral Homes were in charge of arrangements.
     

  • Earnest H. Roland

    Earnest H. Roland, 84, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
    He was born on May 16, 1927 in Sweet Owen to the late Henry and Edith Howell Roland. He was a United States Marine veteran of the Korean War, where he served as a tank commander and a staff sergeant. He also served with the Merchant Marines. He worked for Formica Corporation in Evendale, Ohio.

  • Berta Catherine Gayle

    Berta Catherine Gayle, 78 of Sparta, passed away Feb. 1, 2012, at her home.
    Survivors include her sons, John William Gayle, George Willie Gayle, Walter Alexander Gayle, Archie James Gayle, David Geronimo Gayle and Henry Edward Gayle; her daughters, Veronica Gayle, Constance Regina Gayle and Emma Elizabeth Centers.
    The funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at the Seminary Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes.
     

  • Bruce Blanton Coates

    Bruce Blanton Coates, 58, of Winchester, husband of Connie Combs Coates, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, in Atlanta, Ga. 
    A native of  Owenton, he was born Sept. 22, 1953, to the late Herschel Coates and Willnetta Hutcherson Coates, who survives in Owenton. 
    Bruce was the vice president of market development at LexisNexis Risk Solutions, a data and solutions provider to the insurance industry.  He led the market and business development activities for the life and health insurance markets for LexisNexis.

  • Madilynn Lee Debaun

    Madilynn Lee Debaun, 3 months old, of Glencoe, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
    She is survived by her parents, Jonathan Robert and Latasha Ann Biddle Debaun, Glencoe; and her twin sister, Izabella Grace Debaun, Glencoe.
    A memorial service was held Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at the Worthville Baptist Church. Cremation was chosen by the family.
     

  • William Joseph “Joe” Holt

    William Joseph “Joe” Holt, 49, of Gratz, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Hospital Grant County.
    Survivors include his wife Donna O’Neal Holt; and his daughters, Amber, Carol and Samantha Holt.
    The family will host a memorial open house in the home of Kelly Fugate in Gratz Feb. 5.
    McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.
     

  • Orlie J. Jones

    Orlie J. Jones, 83, Corinth, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at his residence.
    Survivors include three sons, Clifford Jones of Williamstown, Rodney Jones of Erlanger and Dennis Jones of Owenton; four daughters, Sheryl Adams of Cynthiana, Kathy Burke of Georgetown, Debbie Glass of Owenton and Orlana Sparrow of Corinth.
    The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 at McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth. Burial will be in the New Columbus Cemetery.

    Mildred Holbert Wiser, 91, of Owenton, passed away Jan. 17, 2012, at New Horizon Medical Center.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Gayle Wiser.
    Surviving are her granddaughter Donna (Don Ellis) Wainscott of Monterey and her sister, Sue Bradley of Peoria, Ariz..
    The funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at the Main Street location of McDonald and New Funeral Homes. Burial was in the Squiresville Cemetery.

  • Tracey Johnson Manica

    Tracey Johnson Manica, 48, of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.
    She was the daughter of the late Estella Louise Johnson.
    She is survived by her husband, Fred Manica; two daughters, Charity Nicole Gayle and Shacarla Michelle Gayle Mumphrey; and three sons, Chad Manica, Channing Manica and Monty Fields.
    A memorial service was held Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home
