In an attempt to turn around near the 4000 block of  Hwy. 127 S. a semi truck became stuck at about 2:30 p.m., Jan. 2. Owen County Emergency Management Director Larry Karsner said the truck had an Alabama license plate and was not local. The incident blocked both lanes of traffic in the area for about 30 minutes. Along with emergency management, the Owen County Sheriff’s Office responded, as well as one member of the Owenton/Owen County Volunteer Fire Department to direct traffic.
