Sports briefly: Owen County High School golf teams

• The Owen County High School girls golf team was in action twice last week and won twice. The team took on Gallatin County High School at Sugar Bay on Wednesday. Kennedi Dermon led the way with a 42 while Shelby Power carded a 43. Debbie Farrar shot 47 and Lydia Merrifield shot 49. Morgan Woodyard played and posted a 56. On Thursday,  the team welcomed Ryle to Fairway Golf Course. Power shot a one-over par 36 on the front nine to for the low round of the day. Dermon shot a 37 while Aly Minch posted 42 and Lynsey Farrar, 43. Julie Spaulding shot a 49.
