A Perry Park resident is being taken to the University of Cincinnati Hospital after he reportedly received third-degree burns earlier today.
New Liberty Fire Chief Greg Davis responded to the scene at 155 Green Meadow Drive after a man attempted to burn leaves in his yard. Davis said the man was wearing a "highly flammable, slick jogging suit."
"He was talking with us very coherent," Davis said. "(The burns) didn't appear to be anything really deep except for his hands."
Davis said the man received burns from his ankles to his chin.
Owen County EMS declined to release the name and age of the victim, citing potential HIPPA violations.
