A 911 call placed out of boredom landed an Owen County man behind bars Sunday.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Department reported that Thomas Dean Jr., 45, of Owenton, called 911 Sunday, reporting an unresponsive female in a car, according to Lexington’s WKYT. Dean told dispatchers that the supposed unconscious woman had a needle in her arm and that a small child was in the rear seat of the vehicle.
911 dispatchers were giving Dean instructions on how to begin CPR when Dean advised that a male subject exited the vehicle and brandished a knife.
