Wednesday, Feb. 6
11 a.m., Age-Reversing Exercise: Stretch and strengthen all of your 650 muscles while following the “Classical Stretch” DVD. Complete the gentle workout with dynamic exercises that are safe while challenging for every fitness level.
Thursday, Feb. 7
10:30 a.m., Storytime: Join us for great stories, fun activities and nifty crafts. For preschoolers and their caregivers. All are welcome every Thursday when school is in session.
3:15-4:30 p.m., Have a Heart: Accept some (candy) heart challenges. Design an appealing box to hold exactly 100 candy hearts. Complete some experiments dissolving candy hearts. Finally, create the sizes of symmetrical paper hearts. Fn for all school-aged children.
6 p.m., Valentine Cards for the Ones You Love: Show someone how special they are by making special, handmade Valentine cards. All supplies provided. Please register at 502-484-3450.
Friday, Feb. 8
10 a.m., Walk Away the Pounds: Put on your walking shoes and follow the walking moves on the big screen. Walk two miles in 30 minutes to keep yourself in shape. Come join the fun.
10:30-11:30 a.m., Yoga With Tiffany: Local resident Tiffany Boutwell leads this week’s yoga practice. With her recent certification, Tiffany brings a fresh approach to the class. Appropriate for all skill levels. Need a mat? We have some that you may borrow. As always, our yoga classes are free.
Monday, Feb. 11
6 p.m., Monday Night Mystery Book Club: Love mysteries? Come join our organizational meeting and pick up the first book, to be discussed next month, “House of Silk” by Anthony Horowitz. Snacks provided.
6 p.m., Decadent Truffles: Let’s make truffles for Valentine’s Day. Everything will be provided but please register before the program to insure there are sufficient ingredients for all. Fun for all ages.
Tuesday, Feb. 12
1 p.m., Time Traveler, Celebrating 200 Years: Join us as we kick-off the Owen County Bicentennial with stories of early pioneers and Indians who made their homes in the wilderness of Owen County. Hosted at the Senior Center of Owen County.
1-3 p.m., Bridge: Join this informal group of bridge enthusiasts no matter your skill level. More experienced players will help new players along. This group is always looking for a fourth.
3:15-4:30 p.m., Presidential Bingo: Have fun while testing your knowledge and learning about the U.S. presidents. Prizes and refreshments. Best suited for second graders and up.
Wednesday, Feb. 13
11 a.m., Age-Reversing Exercise: Follow the “Classical Stretch” DVD for a full-body workout and move every muscle in all directions. By moving every muscle you look and feel younger. This is the same exercise program as seen on public television.
