The deadline to register to vote in the November general election is fast approaching with less than a week left until the Oct. 9 cutoff date.
First-time voters have several options for registering in the election that will decide local races such as Owen County judge-executive and sheriff, as well as the Kentucky House of Representatives 62nd District seat.
To vote in the Commonwealth, you must be a U.S. citizen and a resident 28 days before election day. You must also be 18 years or older by election day, which is Nov. 6.
