A Guatemalan man was arrested in Owenton by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Friday, March 29, for the second time in two years, according to an ICE spokesperson.
Jacinto Matom-Brito, 24, a citizen of Guatemala, was found once again to be illegally present in the US, the spokesperson said.
“On July 26, 2017, Matom-Brito was removed to Guatemala under voluntary departure with safeguards,” ICE Spokesperson Nicole Alberico said. “Matom-Brito remains in ICE custody pending removal proceedings before an immigration judge.”
