Guest columnist - Owen County Magistrate Troy Bramblett: Sunday sales decision could boost economy

-A A +A

During the past month, I have received several calls and letters from citizens in my district about the Elk Creek Winery being allowed to have Sunday sales. These citizens have voiced their opposition and support for the issue. With the Senate Bill 213 that was signed by the Governor and made in to law on July 15, 2014, it gave registered small farm wineries the option to sell on Sundays. This can be done if the legislative body of the county approves by an ordinance or by a local option limited sales election in the precinct of the location of the winery.
