Set to open July 8, couple hopes to drive tourism in all-inclusive setting

GRATZ — On a cold, cloudy day in 2011, a small crowd of people gathered on Main Street in Gratz to witness what would become a significant moment in the community’s already rich history.
After carrying passengers from Owen to Henry County and back for 80 years, the historic Gratz bridge was blasted following the opening of a newly-constructed overpass on KY 22, leaving commuters little choice but to bypass what was once a thriving river town.
