It could not have been any closer.
The Owen County High School boys track team finished first in six of the twelve events on the track and won two more field events Thursday night in Owaenton in the North Central Kentucky Track Conference Meet.
They would need every point as they edged out Western Hills 162 to 161 for the overall victory.
Henry County finished a distant third with 104 points.
Bobby Mingie won the 100-meter dash with Chris Smith coming in ninth place.
Collin Trammel captured the 200-meter dash while Smith finished seventh.
