When Owen countians head to the voting booths for the upcoming primary election nearly 1,000 will find themselves affected by recent updates to precinct boundaries.
The Owen County Board of Elections began the process of updating the precinct boundaries following updates to the county’s magisterial lines in 2011.
Owen County Clerk Joan Kincaid said both had to be looked at due to redistricting guidelines based off population changes in the 2010 U.S. Census.
