  • REBELS RUN OVER RAIDERS AT...

    Everything was working for the Owen County Rebels on Friday night against Trimble County. The Rebels scored touchdowns on offense, defense and special teams as they rolled past the Raiders 44-0 to pick up their third win in their last four games.
    Things began well for the home team as Ross Ford intercepted a Trimble County pass on the first play of the game. The Rebels would however turn the ball back over to the Raiders on their opening drive as well.

  • Boys soccer goes scoreless...

    The Owen County boys wrapped up their regular season last week.
    The team honored seven seniors playing their final home game last Tuesday night. Michael Bruener, Blake Epperson, Preston Forsee, Rhyan Hatchett, Alex Hernandez, Mateo Perez and Quinn Cole were each recognized before the team hosted Villa Madonna. Unfortunately, it would not be a happy send off as they fell 4-0.
    The day before the team traveled to Spencer County where they also were defeated 4-0.

  • Lady Rebels win on senior night

    The Owen County Lady Rebels played their final home game of the season on Thursday night. The team was looking for some momentum heading into the 31st District Tournament and they got it in a big way.
    Before the game with Fleming County, the team recognized its four seniors; Amber Gover, Shelby Sawyer, Shyan Stivers and Reagan Sutton.

  • Boys elementary cross country...

    The Owen County cross country team took part in the St. Henry Invitational on Saturday at Idlewide Park in Florence.
    It was a good day for the elementary boys who finished in second place overall in their race. Isaac Cockrell was the highest finisher for the boys in the one-mile race as he placed seventh. Noah Hunter was 11th, Salin Holbert 18th, Anthony Martin 19th and Bailey Carrier 24th.

  • Volleyball team honors breast...

    On Thursday night the Owen County volleyball team did their part to bring awareness to the breast cancer. The team hosted Williamstown on Volley for the Cure night. The team wore special pink jerseys and the match was played with a pink volleyball.
    Before the varsity match, members of the team honored survivors and also those who tragically lost their struggle with the disease. Pink flowers were given to those honored while white flowers were placed in a vase in memory. A moment of silence was observed before the Owen County High School Chorus sang the National Anthem.
