It was already dark, as the story goes, when Barry came dragging his huge buck into deer camp. Worried hunting companions were waiting.
“Where’s Bubba,” they asked.
Barry told his friends that Bubba had been helping to drag the deer into camp, but that he had collapsed unconscious on the trail about a half mile back. His friends were beside themselves. “You mean Bubba’s out there, maybe dying, and you dragged that deer back?”
