With an eye on capturing the Democratic Party nomination for commissioner of agriculture, B.D. Wilson met with Owen County supporters Thursday as he criss-crossed the state along the campaign trail.
Wilson, who served as Montgomery County judge-executive in the 1990s, said his background as an elected official, a businessman and a farmer makes him uniquely qualified to lead the department.
“I have been a Kentucky farmer,” Wilson said. “I know what kinds of problems they face. Agriculture is the economic engine that drives this state.”
