    A lesson in giving: students work to make sure others have a merry Christmas

    A lesson better than anything out of a textbook is what one of Owen County’s third grade teachers has been sharing with her students for over a decade.
    Owen County Elementary school teacher Mary Inman began the “caring project” with her students when she began teaching 12 years ago, a tradition that she has continued watch holiday season and one that she says her students are always happy to get behind.

    Downtown ready for changes: Courthouse offices find new spaces

    Questions were circulating about what will happen to offices located inside the county’s 156-year old courthouse after the Owen County Circuit Clerk’s Office moved into its new $11 million facility last week.
    The building will still be home to the offices of the Owen County judge-executive, the Owen County attorney and the Owen County property valuation administrator.
