  • Owen County Youth Soccer League searching for board members, coaches for fall season

    The Owen County Youth Soccer League is holding board/officer election at their upcoming annual meeting in June.   • WMU collects items for REACH, seniors

    On Saturday morning the Owen County Association WMU Spring Quarterly meeting was held at Richland Baptist Church. The meeting started with a fresh boost of sugar from the assortment of pastries, coffee and juice. Everyone in attendance enjoyed the fellowship and pastries.
    Squiresville Baptist, Anna Cook, presented the prayer calendar. Kim and Danny Duvall shared their beautiful talent by bringing the special music. It touched our hearts. Mandy Holbert blessed us with a song on her guitar.

    Cedar Hill Baptist to host musical talent
    At 7 p.m., Thursday, Cedar Hill Baptist Church will host the Shirey’s and Made New. Come for a time of wonderful music by these two groups. Made New has been with us before and we were blessed by this brother/sister teen duo.

    Kentucky Farm Bureau, in partnership with Farm Credit Mid-America, has published a book by Kentucky artist and author, Mitchell Tolle titled The Most Wonderful Dream.

  • Clark named superintendent of Owenton-based operations

    LEXINGTON -- Kentucky American Water announced the appointment of Nathan Clark as superintendent of operations for the company’s northern division, based in Owenton. In this position, Clark will oversee Kentucky American Water’s water and wastewater operations in Franklin, Gallatin, Grant and Owen counties.
