Come join us Wednesday, beginning June 1, for body and mind fitness programs. Plus kids get free fair tickets again this year for keeping a reading log. Summer fun is going to be cool at the library this year.

    Baccalaureate service to be held May 15

    The community is invited to attend the Owen County High School Class of 2016 baccalaureate service, beginning at 6 p.m., Sunday, May 15, in the gymnasium at Owen County High. A short reception will follow the service.

    Absentee voting has begun

    Absentee voting for the May 17 primary election has begun. If you will be out of town on the day of the election, you may stop by the Owen County Clerk’s Office to vote as an absentee now through Monday, May 16.

    Create a cactus garden that you never water or paint some colorful daisies. Stones, pots and paint provided for this after school activity, appropriate for all school-aged youth, beginning at 3:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 13.
