    Derby Pancake Breakfast set for May 7

    The annual Mason Odd Fellow Derby Pancake Breakfast will be held from 6-11 a.m., Saturday, May 7, at the Lodge Fellowship Hall in Owenton. There will be a $7 charge for an all you can eat meal with sausage, pancakes and beverages.

    Bessie Sparks Scholarship applications now available

    The Bessie Sparks Scholarship applications are available at Peoples Bank & Trust Company or in the Owen County High School Guidance Counselor’s Office with the deadline being May 10, 2016.

    Baccalaureate service to be held May 15

    The community is invited to attend the Owen County High School Class of 2016 baccalaureate service, beginning at 6 p.m., Sunday, May 15, in the gymnasium at Owen County High. A short reception will follow the service.

    Absentee voting has begun

    Absentee voting for the May 17 primary election has begun. If you will be out of town on the day of the election, you may stop by the Owen County Clerk’s Office to vote as an absentee now through Monday, May 16.

    Board of education meeting to be held at MBMS

    The regular meeting of the Owen County Board of Education will be held at 6 p.m., Monday, April 18, in the Maurice Bowling Middle School media center.

    Project grad. to host 5K run/walk

    The Owen County High School Project Graduation will host a 5K run/walk at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 23. at OCHS. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. For more information call Darlene Matt at 859-308-9731.
