  • Delores “Sug” Harlow Aldridge

    Delores “Sug” Harlow Aldridge, 71 of Sanders died Sept. 13, 2008, at her residence.

    Funeral services were held Sept. 16, 2008, with the Rev. Joel Santos officiating. Burial was in Worthville Cemetery.

    Mrs. Aldridge was born March 22, 1937, in Carroll County to the late Bennie and Maggie Allen Harlow.

    She was a homemaker and a member of the Worthville Christian Church. She attended school in Carroll County.

  • John "Nobe" Mahoney

    John "Nobe" Mahoney, 82, of Worthville, died September 24, 2008, at the Carroll County Hospital.

    Born August 24, 1926, in Henry County, he was the son of the late Alford and Ola Miller Mahoney and was preceded in death by his siblings, George, Charles E., Lloyd B. and Mildred Mahoney and Aileen Lee. He was also preceded by his son, Billy Rae Mahoney. Nobe was a farmer and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

  • Irma Scheuermann

    Irma Scheuermann, 86, of Cincinnati, died Friday, September 26, 2008, at Mount Washington Care Center.

    Born October 12, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Doretta Helligrath. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Scheuermann; a daughter, Patsy Bodley; a son, Robert Bodley; and a brother, Harold Helligrath.

    She was the mother of Doretta (John) Ferguson of Cincinnati, Debbie (Ed) Ashcraft of Owenton, Donna Hill of Cincinnati, and Nelson Bodley of Glendale, Ariz. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

  • Ama C. Wright

    Ama C. Wright, 85, of Corinth, died September 18, 2008, at St. Luke Hospital West in Florence. She was a homemaker and a member of New Columbus Baptist Church. She was the widow of Joseph H. Wright who passed away in 2000.

    She is survived by two sons, William L. Wright and Bruce C. Wright, both of Corinth; two sisters, Helen Osborne of Owenton, and Louise Gordon of Wheatley; one brother, James Mason of Crittenden; six grandchildren; and give great-grandchildren.

  • Davis C. Griffith

    Davis C. Griffith, 62, of Sadieville, died Sept. 14, 2008, at his residence. He was a supervisor for MPW Industrial Services of Georgetown. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and a Kentucky Colonel.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Marie Griffith, in 1994; and two daughters, Phyllis Marie Angel Griffith and Anita Ann Griffith, both in 1991.

  • Roberta Robards Stamper

    Roberta Robards Stamper, 77, died September 23, 2008, at St. Joseph Hospice.

    Born December 8, 1930, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Hilary Cegale Goodlett and Ruby Nichols. Roberta was an operator for AT&T, the office manager for Owenton Express, and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

  • David C. Burton

    David C. Burton, 82, of Corinth, died Sept. 15, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, South in Edgewood. He was a retired machinist for Conoco Phillips in Williamstown and a farmer. He was a member of New Columbus United Methodist Church and a World War II Army veteran.
