  • Harold Perkins

    Harold Perkins, 89, of Owenton, passed away Wednesday Nov., 14, 2012, at the Florence Park Care Center.
    Born July 13, 1923 in Owenton, he was the son of the late Brish and Dollie Baker Perkins. Also preceding him in death were his siblings, Edward Perkins, Lucille Beverly, Helen Towles, and Dorothy Davis.

  • Joan Carole Judy Littrell

    Joan Carole Judy Littrell, 72, of Owen County, died at her residence on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012.
    She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Littrell.
    A visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 at the Main Street location of McDonald and New Funeral Homes with Gene Roberts and Mark Judy officiating.
    She will be interred in the Owenton Cemetery.

  • Roy Martin

    Roy Martin, 72, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012.
    He is survived by his wife, Thelma Jenkins Martin; and a daughter, Lisa and her husband Darrell Ison of Stamping Ground.
    The funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at the Main Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Burial was in the Owenton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
     

  • Mayme Nix Dunavent

    Mayme Nix Dunavent, 96, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012.
    She was the daughter of the late David and Amanda Payton Nix.
    Survivors include her sons, Glen (Joyce) Dunavent and Ronnie (Donna) Dunavent, both of Owenton.
    The funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at the Seminary Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Burial was in the Owenton Cemetery.

  • David Allen Wainscott

    David Allen Wainscott, 51, passed away Monday Nov. 19, 2012.
    Survivors include his wife Wanda; a son, David Allen Wainscott Jr.; a daughter, April Ann Wainscott; and his stepmother Janet Wainscott.
    The funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at the Main Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Burial was in the Owenton Cemetery.
     

  • Thomas Edward Toole

    Thomas Edward Toole, 76, passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, following a brief illness.
    He was the son of James Paul and Anna Catherine Sharon Toole.
    Survivors include a brother, Ralph (Patsy) Toole of Owenton; and his sisters, Mary (Jim) Cheek of Somerset, Jackie (Walter) Sageser of Lexington and Judy (Danny) Jacobs of Owenton.
    The funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at the Main Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Burial was in the Owenton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

  • Walker Lee Stafford

    Walker Lee Stafford passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Saint Joseph Hospital after a long illness.
    Born Sept. 4, 1923, in Owenton, he was the son of the late Walker and Margaret Stafford.
    He served in Italy during World War II. He graduated from the University of Kentucky and worked as a sales representative for Stauffer Chemical Company for 30 years.  He was a district sales manager at his retirement.  He was a long time member of Southland Christian Church.

  • Juanita L. Jackson Cammack

    Juanita L. Jackson Cammack, 84, passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at St. Elizabeth in Edgewood.
    She was the daughter of the late Forsee Lee and Ama Martin Jackson.
    Survivors include her son, David “Mose” Cammack.
    The funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at the Seminary Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Burial was in the Owenton Cemetery.

    The Rev. Thomas E. Baker, 88, of Louisville, passed away Nov. 18, 2012, after a short illness.

  • Roy Prather

    Roy Prather Jr., 77, of Owenton passed away Nov. 15, 2012, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.
    He was the son of the late Roy and Lula Mae Gaines Prather.
    Surviving are his children, David (Heather) Prather of Perryville and Nancy (Michael) Boisseau of Owenton.
    The funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Seminary Street location of
    McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Burial was in the Owenton Cemetery.
