Obituaries

John W. Howard, 83, of Frankfort, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at his residence.
He was the son of the late Lawrence and Mae Estes Howard.
Survivors inlcude his wife, Geraldine Hundley Howard of Frankfort.
Private graveside services were held Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at the Owenton Cemetery.
The McDonald & New Funeral Homes was in charge of all arrangements.
 

Wanda Louise Peters, 60, of Worthville, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.
She is survived by her husband, Dewey Peters of Worthville; a daughter, Juliett Gray of Sanders; and two sons, Dewey Dewain Peters of Warsaw and Jimmy Evert Peters of Worthville.

Carl Eugene Henage, 62, of New Columbus,  passed away Dec. 25, 2012, at home.
He was retired from General Motors and a member of the New Columbus Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, J. W. and Mildred Nicholson Henage and by a brother, Roger Henage. 

Lena Hunter, 88, of Owen County, passed way Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.  
Mrs. Hunter was born in Lusby Mill to the late John and Nancy Howard Duncan.   She was a homemaker, farmer and member of the New Columbus Baptist Church.  She was a longtime member of the Owen County Homemakers. 
She was the widow of Robert J. Hunter.
