    Lois Evelyn Clemons of Owenton passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends, Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Owenton Manor.
    Born Dec. 29, 1921 in Clark County, Ill. to the late Robert Ledger and Goldie Ionia Clark, she was a loving and giving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

  • Norman Ray Baldwin

    Norman Ray Baldwin, 73,  of Frankfort and formerly of Owenton, passed away Jan. 30, 2012, at his home.
    Survivors include his wife, Mary Baldwin; a daughter, Karen (Steven) Criswell; and a son, Kevin Baldwin.
    The funeral services were held Feb. 2, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Frankfort.
    The LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home of Frankfort was in charge of all arrangements.

  • King Solomon Burke

    King Solomon Burke, 90, Hanover, Ind., passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at his residence.
    Survivors include four daughters, Barbara Brown, Brenda Ellis, Beverly Wibbels and Chrissy Robertson; and one son, Chris Burke.
    The funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Lytle Funeral Chapel in Madison, Ind. Burial was in the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison, Ind.

    Dorothy L. Martin, 90, of Corinth, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at her residence.
    Survivors include her four sons, John Martin of Lexington, Larry Brown of Lexington, Barry Brown of Sebring, Fla. and Mike Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio.
    The funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Corinth. Graveside services were held Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at the Lakeview Cemetery in Providence.

  • Gayle Lewis Ballard

    Gayle Lewis Ballard, 89, of Monterey, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at the St. Joseph Hospice Center in Lexington.
    Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Ann Skirvin Ballard.
    The funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 024, 2012, at the Main Street location of
    McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Burial was in the Monterey Cemetery.

  • Michael L. Andrews

    Michael L. Andrews, 35, Independence, passed away Feb. 25, 2012, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
    Survivors include his father, Don (Roberta) Andrews; his mother, Judy Andrews; four sons, Joseph Andrews, Christian Andrews, Jeremiah Tucker and Noah Tucker; and a daughter, Katelyn Andrews
    The family will receive friends Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at the Don Catchen & Son Funeral Home in Elsmere. A Masonic service will be held at 8 p.m.

  • Annabelle Wallace

    Annabelle Wallace, 74, of Erlanger, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at her home.
    Born on Nov. 3, 1937, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Fred, K. Smith. 
    Mrs. Wallace was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, 4th Street in Covington.  She formerly worked at Shillito’s and in her church’s day care.

  • Billy Walker Thompson

    Billy Walker Thompson, 76, went to his heavenly home Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Norton Suburban Hospital.
    He was born in Owen County to Woodrow & Edna (Hammond) Thompson.
    He was a retired refrigeration mechanic for the Kroger Co., with over 30 years service.
    He was a faithful member of Landmark Baptist Church for over 20 years, a U.S. Army veteran, and a Kentucky Colonel.
    Billy was preceded in death by his parents.

  • Bertrand E. “Bert” Seniours Jr.

    Bertrand E. “Bert” Seniours Jr., 65, of Columbus, Ind., passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Ind.
    Survivors include his wife, Julia E. Humes Seniours; and sons, Micheal (Kimberly) Humes and Charles Seniours,  both of Columbus, Ind.
    The funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 at the Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home in Columbus, Ind.
    Burial was at the Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus, Ind.

  • Belinda Kaye Morales

    Belinda Kaye Morales, 46, of New Liberty, passed away Feb. 15, 2012, in Fort Pierce, Fla.
    She was the daughter of the late Creed and Mary Wagers Wilburn. 
    She is survived by her husband, Jorge Morales; a daughter; Alleah Morales; and sons, Erik, Colin, and Tyler Ernsperger.
    The funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at the Main Street location of McDonald and New Funeral Home. Burial was in the Monterery Cemetery.
