  • Ruby Evon Combs Carmack

    Ruby Evon Combs Carmack, 54 of Owenton, passed away Friday, June 23, 2012, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.  
    She was the daughter of the late Hershel “Dub” and Christine Beckham Combs.
    She is survived by her husband, Bobby Carmack of Owenton; four sons; Joe D. Carmack of Owenton, Donnie Ray Carmack of Owenton, Gary Lee Carmack of Glencoe, and William Christopher Carmack of Crittenden; and one daughter; Jo Ann Michelle House of Owenton.  

  • Roy Lee Burford

    Roy Lee Burford, 87, of Owenton passed away June 22, 2012, at the Owenton Manor.
    He was the son of the late Bryon and Ethel Kenney Burford. He was the husband of the late Mildred Wainscott Burford.
    Survivors include two sons James Kenney Burford of Williamstown and Danny Burford of Owenton; and one daughter; Linda Acree of Owenton.
    The funeral services were held Monday, June 25, 2012, at the McDonald and New Funeral Home on Seminary Street. Burial was in the Owenton Cemetery.
     

  • Travis Dean Breisacher

    Travis Dean Breisacher, 48, of Glencoe, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.
    He was the son of the late Harry Breisdacher and Brenda Joslin Breisacher of Owenton. He was the husband of Jessica Breisacher. Travis was a former machinist and a 1982 graduate of Gallatin County High School.

  • Margie Faye Brown Whalen

    Margie Faye Brown Whalen, 79, of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012, at the Swiss Villa Nursing Home.
    She is survived by three sons, Eddiie Webster of Covington, Gary Allen Brown, of Groveland, Fla., and Omer Wayne Brown of Aurora, Ind. and one daughter, Vicki Watkins of Warsaw.
    Graveside services were held Monday, June 18, 2012, at the Paint Lick Church Cemetery.

  • Cecil Wayne Marshall

    Cecil Wayne Marshall, 64, of Owenton, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
    He was the son of the late Annadell Ray and William Anderson Marshall.
    He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Brown Marshall and his daughters, Tammy (Jimmy) Powers and Sonya (Randy) Fitzgerald of Owenton.
    The funeral services were held Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at the Main Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Burial was in the Owenton Cemetery.
     

  • Douglas Gaines

    Douglas Gaines, 67, of Northport, Ala. and formerly of Owenton, passed away June 15, 2012.
    He was the son of the late Louise Cobb and Everett C. Gaines.
    Survivors include his wife, Lois Slaughter Gaines; and two daughters, Cynthia Gaines of Harrodsburg and Stephanie (Dale) Hudson of Northport, Ala.
    A graveside service was held Monday, June 18, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the Owenton Cemetery.
    McDonald & New Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.

    Travis Dean Breisacher, 48, of Glencoe, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.
    He is survived by one son, Nathan Breisacher, of Glencoe.
    The funeral services were held Monday, June 18, 2012, at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw.

  • Hazel J. Barnette-Cammack

    Hazel J. Barnette-Cammack, 68, of Dry Ridge passed away Monday, June 4, 2012,
    at St. Elizabeth in Edgewood.
    She was the former owner/operator of Suds-N-Sun Laundry & Tanning in Warsaw.
    Survivors include her beloved dog, Holly Ann; her former husband and friend, Lawrence Cammack; three sisters, Anna Pelfrey of Dry Ridge, Margaret “Cissy” Steger of Glencoe, Sherry “Jody” Cook of Rutledge, Tenn.; a brother, Larry Gene Roberts of Glencoe; several nieces and nephews.

  • Charles P. Bishop

    Charles P. Bishop, 66, passed away Saturday June 9, 2012, in Edgewood.
    He was a native of Owen County and the son of the late John Thomas and Bessie Mae Slaughter Bishop.
    He is survived by his wife Sandra Edmondson Bishop: two sons, Tommy (Bonnie) Bishop of Warsaw and Wayne Bishop of Owenton; and a daughter, Shelley (James “Budha” Ford) of Warsaw.
    A memorial service will be held Monday, June 11, 2012, at 7 p.m. at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw.

  • Emily A. Riley

    Emily A. Riley, 80, a native of Wheatley, passed away May 28, 2012, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
    She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Brock of Wheatley.
    Visitation was held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Graveside services followed at 2 p.m. at the Dallasburg Masonic Cemetery in Wheatley.
    The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
