Youth Soccer Results: Wildcats wrap up perfect regular season

Little Rebels - 2 vs. Clovers - 0
Scoring for the Little Rebels was Ashton Moore off an assist from Madison Perkins. Conner Ogden added the second goal for the Little Rebels with an assist going to Kailyn Duncan. Rachel Johnson and Connor Eads had shot attempts but were unable to connect. Katie Fisk, Griffin Gentry and Anna Riddle played incredible offense and defense, assisting with shot attempts and blocked shots. The Little Rebels all played extremely well,
Team Ward - 3 vs. Fighting Tigers - 2
In a battle to the final whistle, Team Ward walked away with a win. Brax Ward scored his first goal of the season for Team Ward. Eli Rice powered multiple shots on the goal and was able to connect on two to seal the win for Team Ward.
Rice’s final goal was during the final minute of the game. Birthday boy Jackson Prather played a great game defending the goal as goalie for Team Ward. C.J. Stine and Kaileigh Grider played great on the offensive end of the field.
Kade New scored for the Fighting Tigers, adding to his season total. The second goal for the Fighting Tigers was a team effort as many feet were on the ball.

Wildcats - 3 vs. Little Rebels - 0
The Wildcats continued their winning streak defeating the Little Rebels. Macie Chappell added to her season total when she connected on two shots in the first quarter. Charlie Baumann also added to his season total when he scored off a pass from Lilly Chappell during the second quarter. Avery Miller, Price Griffin, Gabi Stewart, Madison Duvall, Clayton Stewart and Lilly Baumann displayed exceptional defensive skills and were able to deny all goal opportunities by the Little Rebels.
During their second game of the day, the Little Rebels were tired but were able to make shot attempts and deny a few by the Wildcats. Rachel Johnson, Katie Fisk and Conner Ogden all had shots on goal. Ashton Moore, Kailyn Duncan, Conner Eads, Madison Perkins, Griffin Gentry and Fisk played tough and defended their goal well.

Ward - 2 vs. Clovers - 2
Team Ward was able to “wake up” during the fourth quarter and tie the game. Eli Rice and Jocie Bruener were both able to score sealing the tie. This was Jocie’s first goal of the season. Ayden Coppola played a nice offensive game and Micah New continued his strong defense at the fullback positon.

Wildcats - 2 vs. Fighting Tigers - 1
In an intense match, the Wildcats walked away with another win and finished  a perfect season. They have gone undefeated during the regular season. The afirst half remained scoreless by both teams. Macie Chappell scored one goal during the third quarter for the Wildcats and then Kade New of the Fighting Tigers fired one in to tie the game. Charlie Baumann scored the winning goal for the Wildcats during the fourth quarter.
Alexandria Perry, Avery Miller, Lilly Chappell and Price Griffin all displayed excellent offensive and defensive skills to secure the win. What a great season for the Wildcats and the Fighting Tigers.
Team Ward - 3 vs. Little Rebels - 1
Team Ward was led once again by the awesome play of Eli Rice. Rice finished the game with two goals and Jocie Bruener finished with one goal. Team Ward played a great game.
Scoring the only goal for the Little Rebels was Conner Eads.  The assist goes to Connor Ogden. Ashton Moore, Rachel Johnson and Ogden had shot attempts. Katie Fisk, Anna Riddle and Kailyn Duncan played great defense helping stop shot attempts by Team Ward. Griffin Gentry and Madison Perkins made many great plays on the ball.

Under 10
Lady Rebels - 3 vs Frankfort Dragons - 3
The Lady Rebels played their final home match against the Frankfort Dragons May 12. When the match began, it was evident that both teams were equally matched with talent.
Maddie Walker was first to strike and scored a goal for the Lady Rebels.
Meg Gamm capitalized on open space and was able to score the second goal for the Lady Rebels. Late in the second half, Maddie Waler scored again.
At the final whistle, the game was tied. The Lady Rebels continue to improve on the defensive side of the pitch. Lilly David, Macayla Hall, Tori Lykins, Emily Riddle, Haley Burden and Trinity Craig all played excellent defense and were able to minimize the opponents’ shots on goal. The goalie duties were shouldered by Cassady Greer and Merideth David.
