Wotier says he is encouraged by progress

The Owen County Chamber of Commerce held its monthly breakfast at the Smith House restaurant Thursday. Mayor David “Milkweed” Wotier gave his State of the City address, which encouraged citizens to come together and move forward.

Wotier’s address included an update on drug abuse in Owenton, the natural gas line, the water intake project as well as future problems the city may face.

Wotier said the City of Owenton recently had its first reading on the newly proposed budget for the 2009-2010 fiscal year.
