A barn around the 3100 block of Hwy. 127 N. received substantial damages Monday evening from what was believed to be 65 mph straight line winds. Owen County Emergency Management Director Rick Morgan said the barn belonged to Bill Cammack and estimated the monetary damage to be around $30,000.
Morgan said on Squiresville Road several barns received damage and some house received little damage to their roofs.
On Morgan Lane, the electric service was pulled away from one home, but Morgan said Owen Electric repaired the problem Monday evening.
On Tuesday a mudslide occurred on Hwy. 330 at the intersection of Eden Shale Road. Crews were on site cleaning up Tuesday morning.
