Michelle Nicole Gibson and Timothy Craig Barnett Jr. were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. June 4, 2011, at Highlands Baptist Church in Lexington. Bro. James K. Pierce performed the double-ring ceremony. Music for the ceremony was provided by Xana Plum. A reception was held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Georgetown immediately following the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Paul Jr. and Vicki Gibson of Wheatley. The groom is the son of Tim and Rae Marie Barnett of Glasgow. Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her cousin, Chelsea Gibson of Owenton, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids include Heather Herald of Glencoe and Monica Lowry of Independence, friends of the bride. The flower girl was Tayler Herald of Glencoe, friend of the bride. Book attendant was Michaela Gibson of Owenton, cousin of the bride. Britton Wallace of Bowling Green, friend of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen include John Barnett of Glasgow, brother of the groom and Drew Adams of Harlan, friend of the groom. The ring bearer was Chase Barnett of Bowling Green, cousin of the groom. Ushers include Brad Mitchell of Frankfort and Justin Endicott of Lexington, friends of the groom. Michelle is a 2001 graduate of Owen County High School, a 2006 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor of Architecture and a 2007 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a master of architecture. Michelle is employed with Mason and Hanger, a Day and Zimmerman Company, in Lexington. Craig is a 1999 graduate of Barren County High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor of science in civil engineering. Craig is employed with Stantec Consulting Services Inc. in Lexington and is a licensed professional engineer. The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico, and reside in Georgetown.
