The CHD Awareness Walk is scheduled for Feb. 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  at the Owenton First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the live entertainment from local gospel groups/individuals, shop our various vendors for your loved ones Valentine’s Day gift while supporting the walk, eat lunch with us and bring your children to enjoy our Kid’s Corner where we will have an inflatable slide, face painting and crafts.
The entertainment this year includes Worthville Baptist Church Praise Band, Robin Stephenson, Connie Hon, David Pitt, Bode and Chana McKinley, Tim Pearson, Dennis Wheeler and Drew Oakley.  We will also have our CHD Recognition Walk at 3 p.m. where all CHD survivors and angels will be recognized.
This year in our silent auction, we will have up for bid, round-trip tickets to anywhere in the United States with Southwest Airlines along with lots of other items.  If you or your business is interested in donating an item for our silent auction, contact Katie Columbia at 502-514-1305.
If you are interested in forming a team to help raise money for God’s Special Little Hearts, a local non-profit organization that helps families who have a child with a CHD or helps adults with a CHD, contact Katie at the above number and a walk packet will be mailed to you.
All proceeds from the event will benefit God’s Special Little Hearts and all donations are tax deductible as the organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All its members are volunteers and no one receives compensation.  All proceeds will go to help families who have a child/adult with a CHD by supplying them with a care package, help with hotel room costs, fuel costs or meal tickets while they are hospitalized recovering from open heart surgery or other heart-related illnesses.
