Track teams run well at Walton

The Owen County track teams should be well acquainted with the track at Walton-Verona. The teams competed in two events at the facility last week. The first came May 7 when they took part in the NCKC Meet and the second Saturday in the Class “A” Meet. In the May 7 NCKC meet, both the boys and the girls finished fourth in the overall team standings.

For the girls, Melina Bress finished second in the 100-meter dash. Kelsey Johnson finished eighth and Rachel Dauwe 10th in the 100-meter hurdles.
