Track team turns in strong showing at Grant Co. meet

The Owen County High School track team competed last week at the Grant County All-Comers meet in Crittenden. Several members of the team performed well.

Top performers on the girls’ side included Danielle Hoop finishing first in the 400-meter dash and fourth in both the 800- and 1600-meter. Haley Decandia ran to a 10th-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles and earned a sixth-place finish in the high jump. Kelsey Johnson finished 11th in the 100-meter hurdles and the discus while Kystal Webster placed ninth in the shot put.
