The Owenton City Council could soon be tightening restrictions on outdoor wood storage, doghouses, front yard furniture and outside toys owned by city residents.
The council gave a first reading of the amendment to its nuisance ordinance during its April 2 meeting.
The amendment states that any property owner or tenant that houses a dog or dogs outside will keep them in the backyard of the house, apartment or building and will furnish a doghouse to house them.
