The holiday season is off to a great start with the holiday trimmings program held a the Owen County Extension Office on Nov. 8 with 180 individuals attending from eight different counties. Participants learned new ideas for decorations, gifts and foods for the holidays.
Judy Hetterman, FCS extension agent, explained how to make a tobacco-stick basket.
Each participant was given a Living Well Cookbook, in whick some recipes were tasted such as the black bean and corn salad. Holiday trimmings books with recipes and instructions of gifts and decorations were given to all attendees. Each individual also had the opportunity to make a ribbon tree ornament.
