A three-month drug investigation netted three arrests Saturday, with Owenton City Police hopeful there will be more to come.
Owenton City Police Officers Steve Miller and Gary Alcorn were assisted by Owen County Sheriff’s Deputy Brent Caldwell in the early afternoon roundup of three alleged drug traffickers.
The arrests resulted in four felony charges and three misdemeanor charges.
Those arrested were: Addison L. Beach, 26, of 119 East Adair Street. Beach was charged with two counts of trafficking in marijuana, less than eight ounces, first offense. Bond was set at $500 cash.
Darian T. Carter, 39, of 9560 Hwy. 355, was charged with three counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, Hydrocodone, first offense.
Susan M. Kincaid, 32, of 109 East Perry Street, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, Oxycodone, first offense; third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, Diazepam, first offense.
Miller, the lead investigator, said there are several active, ongoing drug investigations.
“Hopefully there will be more drug related arrests in the future,” Miller said.
As of press time, Carter and Kincaid are lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center, each with a $10,000 cash bond set.
Beach was bonded out of the detention center.
