If a proposed legislative redistricting plan is approved by the General Assembly and signed into law by Gov. Steve Beshear, Owen County’s representation in state government will dramatically change.
The Kentucky General Assembly was called into special session Monday to address the need for the 2010 U.S. Census dictated legislative redistricting.
Under the plan that will be addressed by the General Assembly this week, Owen County would lose its current State Sen. Damon Thayer, R-Georgetown, and State Rep. Brian Linder, R-Dry Ridge.
