Owen County has Code RED notification of emergencies and automated severe weather alerts.
What does this mean to you? If we have an incident, the 911 dispatch, Owen County judge executive or EM director can do a call to notify only those residents in Owen County who are affected to be aware, seek shelter or evacuate.
The service also has an automated system that picked up information from NOAA Weather and sends it to you when a severe weather path is detected.
