Taking aim at History Day

Michael Niedwick is a champion archer and holds several state records. He has been shooting off and on since 1972. In 2010, 2011, and 2012, he won the Kentucky State Senior Championship and qualified for the U.S. National Senior Olympic Games held ever other year. In 2011, he compete at the National Senior Olympic Games in Houston Texas and finished 11th in the Olympic style in his age group. In July, he will be competing in the Senior Olympic Games in Cleveland, Ohio. He will be one of the special guests at the Owen County Historical Society History Day festivities Saturday at the Owen County History Museum. The events begin at 10 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
