Repairs to the Owen County solid-waste building and a new steel trailer for refuse are on the way.

The Owen County Fiscal Court met Dec. 8 and approved a bid for work on the solid-waste building.

Owen County Judge-Executive Carolyn Keith announced at the Nov. 10 meeting that the county was entitled to an area development fund of $7,100 from the Northern Kentucky Area Development District.

The county received a bid from Gary Perkins, who will begin work on repairs to the solid-waste building for $4,291.07.
