Softball team preparing for All ‘A’ Classic

-A A +A

The Owen County High School softball team is hoping to get back to a place they were a year ago. If they do get there, they will be looking for a better result.
Owen County will be taking part in the Eighth Region All ‘A’ Classic this week when they take on Gallatin County Friday evening.
They will get ready for the tournament by, ironically, taking on Gallatin County. The two teams were scheduled to play on Tuesday night in Warsaw.
The Lady Rebels will be looking for a different outcome than in their last outing. Owen County was in Clarksville, Tenn. Saturday where they participated in the Play it Again Classic.
Owen County lost 10-1 to Union County (Kentucky) High School.
When Owen County and Gallatin County meet on Friday night, it will be a rematch of last year’s Eighth Region All ‘A’ championship game.
The Lady Wildcats won that day 2-0.
Owen County defeated Walton-Verona to reach the title game a year ago.
After the All ‘A’ Classic, the Lady Rebels will be back on the field on Monday when they host Henry County. They will then travel to take on Carroll County on Tuesday.
