The daughter of Owen County Sheriff Zemer Hammond recently pleaded guilty to a charge of first-degree wanton endangerment after she allegedly tried to shoot her father.
Heather Hammond, 37, was indicted by the Owen County grand jury Dec. 4, following the Oct. 5 incident.
According to an October press release, preliminary investigation showed Heather Hammond allegedly pointed a loaded weapon at her father while at his home in Corinth.
When she attempted to shoot, the weapon jammed and would not fire.
