Riggs named Greenwing of the Year

Austin Riggs was recently received the first-ever Greenwing of the Year Award presented by Ducks Unlimited.
Greenwings is the youth organization for Ducks Unlimited.
Riggs has worked with several chapters across the state with their fund-raising events as well as working in the last two state banquets.
He also works for the youth by helping prepare food plots for the youth dove shoot; works in the archery for kids program at Wolf Creek Dam and Cave Run Lake; and works when DU helps  at the NWTF Jakes Days in August.
In addition to his other efforts, Riggs worked at the DU booth at the Kentucky State Fair, hunting expos and at a shoot at Elk Creek.
Riggs once sold over $1,000 in state raffle tickets in one day by himself.
He comes up with donations for the local and state banquet.
Austin, a freshman and Michael Wash, a junior have recently  established the first-ever DU high school chapter  in Kentucky. It will be a recognized club in the school for club day in the next school year.
