Record breaker:Hoop makes history with fourth-best finish ever in Kentucky

She did everything but win.

Danielle Hoop ran the fourth-fastest race in state history Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park.

She finished second.

Danville’s Kaitlin Snapp won the Class A State Championship because she ran the second-fastest time.

Snapp finished four seconds better than Hoop to claim her third consecutive state title.

“I feel so bad for this kid,” Owen County Cross Country Coach Jeff Sutton said.
