• After falling 2-0 Sept. 3 to Louisville Collegiate in the All ‘A’ Classic the Rebels soccer team was back on the field Sept. 4 at home against Calvary Christian. The Rebels got a goal from Seth Bush and an assist from Austin Collins but it was not enough as Owen County High School fell 4-1. On Thursday, the Rebels remained on their home field as they hosted Dixie Heights. Collins added his team-high ninth goal of the season off an assist from James Marston. It was Marston’s 18th helper of the year. Owen County would need a goal from Marston in the second half to pull out the 2-1 over the Colonels. The victory improved the Rebels to 7-7 on the season.

• The Lady Rebels soccer team was in action Sept. 3  in the All ‘A’ Classic against Louisville Collegiate. The Lady Rebels dropped a hard fought 3-1 decision. The rest of the week was spent battling the elements as they had a pair of games rained out. Owen County will be back in action, weather permitting, today (Wednesday) at Pendleton County. They will then host Ludlow Saturday before heading to Carroll County Monday.
