Rebel Ramblings: Gallatin Co.

• The Rebels defeated the Wildcats 33-0 last season in Owen County.
• Owen County is 4-2 all-time against Gallatin County including a 2-1 record at Patterson Field.
• The Wildcats began the season by winning their first four games. Since then, they have dropped three of the last four and  are 5-3 overall.
• Tim Browning is the only coach in the history of the program. Since 2006, Browning and Wildcats are 33-38 overall.
• The Wildcats are 2-4 after a bye week. They are 0-1 against Owen County following a week off.
• In other district action on Friday night, Walton-Verona (6-2,4-0) clinched the district title as they hammered Trimble County ((1-7,0-3) 62-7. The loss eliminated the Raiders from playoff contention. This week will see Carroll County travel to Bedford to take on Trimble County. Walton-Verona hosts Bishop Brossart.
• This will also be the final week of action in district six. Teams from District five  will play teams from district six in the playoffs. Newport Central Catholic currently is 3-0 in district play and will travel to take on Holy Cross on Friday night. The Indians are 2-1. The winner will be the district champs. Lloyd is also 2-1 and they will host Newport who 1-2. Bishop Brossart has already been eliminated from the playoffs.
