Rebel bats come alive

-A A +A
By Brian Blair

The results may not have been what they wanted, but there were positive signs last week for the Owen County baseball team. The Rebels played five games last week and won two, but the team scored double-digit runs in three of the contests.
Owen County began the week with a 19-10 win over Frankfort.
They then dropped a 5-2 decision to Lloyd. The Rebels then produced another offensive outburst as they defeated Eminence, 13-2.
The team then closed out the week with a pair of games at Pendleton County. The Rebels dropped the first 12-10 and the second 9-6.
The team spent the first part of the week in Louisville at the Eastern-Male Spring Break Tournament. They will take part in the Eighth Region All “A” Classic Saturday. They will play at Grant County Monday before playing their first home game of the year Tuesday against Gallatin County.
