Shards of metal scattered along U.S. 127 South Monday morning left dozens of vehicles with flat tires and a headache for the local state road crew.
The crew received word early Monday morning that pieces of shredded metal were scattered along the road from mile marker seven to approximately 14.
The crew began cleanup around 4:30 a.m. and vehicles with flat tires could be seen all along the stretch of highway.
