Police nab suspects in Gratz bank robbery

Two Owen County men have been arrested in connection with the robbery of First Farmers Bank in Gratz, over a year after the robbery took place.
Edward Cook and Bryan Kelly, both of Owenton, were arrested at 10:30 a.m. April 29.
According to a Kentucky State Police press release, investigators determined through investigation that Cook and Kelly were allegedly responsible for the robbery.
Cook and Kelly were transported to the Lexington/Fayette Detention facility where they are held on federal bank robbery charges.
The Owenton Police Department, Owen County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI were involved during the arrests of Cook and Kelly.
