Parade winners announced

The Owen County community kicked off the holiday season with its annual Christmas Parade. Organizers said this was the largest parade in recent history. The winners of the annual parade float competition were – Church groups: Long Ridge Baptist Youth (first place), First Christian Church (second place) and Hesler Assembly of God Lost & Found Youth Ministries (third place); Youth civic group: Girl Scout Troop 1030 (first place) and Owen County 4-H (second place); Adult civic group: Owen County Bus Garage (first place) and Owen County Relay for Life (second place).
